10 cents to Lift a Family Out Of Poverty

When our own economy is doing so poorly it is easy to overlook how much more difficult it is for people is less developed countries. The amount of money it costs us to help finance a third-world entrepenure may deny us a few cups of coffee each month yet could make the difference in giving a family food and shelter for years to come.

That's why today's featured click-to-help site is "Ripple for Money"

10 cents represents the daily interest that Grameen pays to finance $400 that it then lends to a poor borrower. Thus 10 cents a day can maintain a $400 loan for someone to start their own business and lift themselves out of poverty. Your click will raise at least 2c, enough to finance approximately $100 of that loan today.

Today's featured click-to-help site is: Stop Global Warming at Care2.

Click the Reduce 1 pound of carbon button every day. For every click, our partner, TerraPass will reduce one pound of carbon dioxide emissions by funding clean energy and efficiency projects, such as wind farms.

Use the Care2 Toolbar to automatically make your computer carbon neutral. For every day that you have the toolbar installed, TerraPass will fund further greenhouse gas reductions.

About TarraPass

Ever wished you could do something about global warming?

It might seem there's nothing you can do about global warming. The problem is just too big.

Of course, we all contribute to global warming. We all have a "carbon footprint," the total carbon dioxide emissions we create when we drive or fly or use electricity.
Balance your carbon footprint with TerraPass

The first step you can take to fight global warming is to reduce your carbon footprint through conservation. Drive less. Turn down the thermostat. Buy locally produced goods. A recent survey of TerraPass customers shows that they're already taking all kinds of steps to reduce their impact.

Then use TerraPass to balance the emissions you can't reduce.

When you buy a TerraPass, your money funds clean energy and efficiency projects such as wind farms. These projects result in verified reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

Of course, global warming is too big a problem for a handful of people to solve on their own. It's a global problem that requires action on a global scale.

But entrepreneurial groups are leading the way. City and state governments, forward-looking businesses, and enthusiastic citizens are banding together to show that a sustainable future is possible today.

Every TerraPass member has taken a simple positive step to fight global warming. Every TerraPass purchase is a vote for innovation, efficiency, and clean energy. Together, we have eliminated over 1 billion pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

Be part of a group that is driving change today.

Wecome to Click, Help World

ClickHelpWorld.com

Recently quite a few charities have begun "click to help" sites to generate contributions for worthy causes. After bookmarking many of these sites it dawned on me that it would be helpful to have a place to share these "little treasures" with all of you.

How It Works
Every site is different. In general, you click some place on the site and either you are shown ads and the revenue from the ads goes to a charity, or there are sponsors who pledge to pay or donate to the charity based on the number of clicks generated. So it costs you nothing but time.

About the Site
ClickHelpWorld.com has six site-list pages arranged into categories of: Animals, Education, Environment, Health, Hunger, and Poverty. Listed on each page are the click-to-give charities that are dedicated to that cause. This makes it easy for you to go to one page and use it instead of bookmarking them all yourself. Just remember "Click, Help World" instead!

Featured Charity
I will be updating this blog with new charities as they are added. The first one I'd like to tell you about is:

When you click on the "Click here to Give - it's Free!" button, they display ads from their site sponsors. 100% of the money from these advertisers goes to their charity partners, who fund programs to provide food and care for rescued animals. Go to Site
